It is the ability of the body system to work together efficiently to allow to perform aspects of sports and daily activities.

How to achieve physical fitness?

There are three main sources to achieve physical fitness and these are coordinated together. If anyone left no one became fit.

  • Proper Nutrition (Healthy and Balanced Diet).
  • Physical Exercise.
  • Proper Rest.

Components of Physical Fitness-

1- Strength- The state of being physically strong is called strength. Furthermore, it is defined as the ability of an object or substance to withstand extreme force or pressure. It is generally muscular strength.

How to Improve Strength?

There are three main methods to enhance muscular strength-

  • Isometric Exercises.
  • Isotonic Exercises.
  • Isometric Exercises.

2- Endurance- The ability to keep doing something difficult, unpleasant, or painful activity for a long time without any fatigue called endurance. It is two types-

  • General Endurance- Ability of the whole body to tolerate endurance exercises and diminish fatigue.
  • Specific Endurance- The ability to stand against fatigue in sports-specific conditions.

How to achieve Endurance?

There are three main methods to improve endurance-

  • Continuous Training.
  • Interval Training.
  • Fartlek Training.

3) Speed- Ability to move quickly across the ground or move limbs rapidly to grab. Reaction time, Acceleration, Movement Speed, Locomotor Ability, and Speed Endurance are the main parts of the speed.

How To Achieve Speed?

There are only two main methods to improve speed.

  • Acceleration Running.
  • Pace Running.

4) Flexibility- The range of movement in a joint and the length of muscles that cross the joints induce a bending movement or motion called flexibility. There are two types of flexibility-

  • Active Flexibility
  • Passive Flexibility

How to achieve Flexibility?

There are a few methods to improve flexibility-

  • The active slow stretching method
  • Passive stretching method
  • Kinetic or Balestic method
  • Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) method

5) Agility- A ability to move quickly and easily to change body position.

How to improve Agility?

There are a few methods to improve agility-

  • Shuttle run
  • Side-to-side drill
  • High knee drill
  • Plyometric agility drills etc.
